Netherlands

Netherlands

Tulips, windmills and canals come to mind when thinking of the Netherlands. Perhaps most mature travellers will not have this country on their agenda, after all it is further north-west in Europe and most travellers tend to want to stay more to the south.

However, don’t underestimate what this country has to offer. It is full of surprises – from clog making, to cheese making, to blooms of tulips that fill the fields and some very impressive museums, we think a trip to this part of the world will offer something very different.

  • Currency – The Netherland’s currency was the Dutch Guilder but as they are a member of the EU they have used the euro since 2002.
  • Visas – it is always best to check visa requirements for your own country. This link takes you to a comprehensive visa checklist and also provides other important information for the traveller.
