Why would you visit Czechia when there is so much else to see and do throughout Europe. The popular tourist destinations are usually top of your list so the smaller countries tend to get overlooked.
You would be mistaken to think that Czechia has nothing to offer. Even though we only visited Prague this is a beautiful city sitting on the Vivata River and has so much to offer in both historical value, and just plain old fashioned things to enjoy.
It’s easy to fly into Prague from elsewhere in Europe, or you can enjoy seeing some of the countryside and catch the train. Check out both options to see which you would prefer to do, and of course this will depend on the time you have to spare.
Some tidbits to entice you to visit – it is the most castle rich country in Europe, with over 200 to choose from. One of the best is Czesky Krumlov (we have shared information about this in our River Cruising section) which is perched high above the medieval village, which is full of beautiful shops, cafes and buildings. Where else but in Czechia would you get to experience such amazing architecture full of rich colours, cobbled streets and wonderful sites which simply take your breath away!
